So, I suppose my beginnings were rather humble. I became addicted to gaming(face it, it's an addiction, not a lifestyle,) at the tender of age of like...I 'unno, 3-ish? Irrelevant anyway, but this was primarily to the console and handheld gaming titles at the time, which for me was the Gameboy and Sega Genesis. My fascination with Star Wars was pretty superficial, really. I liked certain characters, but I never claimed a hardcore love of it. All would have went fine, until my old man told me about a new Star Wars game known as Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast...

*sighs* Dear gods, was I hooked. I fell into its spell about as quickly as it took you to read this sentence. The intoxicating wealth of wielding both spell and (laser) sword was too much to deny, and so I took my childish whims to the multiplayer world, doing quite a bit of clan-hopping as I struggled to find my true calling. Even as a younger pup, though, I was already attracted to the unholy universe that was known as Role-Playing =_=

By JK2's end, I had found myself a small circle of friends who shared my love of RP, and our unified desire for RP brought us quickly to the expanded force that is JK3. By then, I had long found JK3files, but it was nothing more than a tool for files at the time. So, time passed, my RP group slowly broke apart, and I was once again forced to wander the then bountiful RP servers in search of my entertainment.

It would be around the eighth grade that I found more RPers of my kind and we would enter the "Golden Age" of RP. Peace and prosperity reigned over our circle. The plots were uninspired as hell, but at the time, we cared not, and fun was plentiful. It was during the year of 2006 that I had decided to surface and finally join JKFiles as a member. Shortly after, the call for bards came, and I answered. My answered was rewarded with the immortalization of a name that would ring out both joy and terror to the JK community: Averus Retruthan.

My name would become a cult classic, a name by loved and loathed in the JK gaming and modding communities. My relative lack of "experienced" modding knowledge was dwarfed by my eccentric review style, marking my goal to make the file review a fun and entertaining process for one and all. My name would become obscenely popular, and my legacy cemented in the hearts and minds of many fans.

Since, then, I have come and gone. My first tour of duty yielded me the position of Site Manager in the void of Kouen's absence. My rule was short-lived, however, as the stresses at the time afforded me an incident that resulted in my being stricken down from power. Months later, I would return for a second, shorter tour, in which I disappeared after losing interest in the job. It would not be until 2010 until I returned for my third tour, after a long journey of coping with my foul addiction to this game. As you can easily conclude, I have succumbed to its wiles once more.

So, what does the future hold for Averus Retruthan now? How long will he remain here this time? As are most questions like this, I can never say for certain. Until the answer reveals itself unto us, I say to you all: KNEEL BEFORE THE POWER OF THE BEAST, AND SACRIFICE YOUR BANDWIDTH UNTO IT. =_= *raises studded brass chalice to the horde of readers, and drinks deep of the nectar within*
