Description:
You know, most duel maps that I have come across are small, simple, and generally aren't the best quality maps I have come across. This duel map is small, simple, but it does look decent.

It's a single room, as most duel maps are. There are not many places to jump up, just some ledges above, but hardly any space on em for a fight up there. It isn't all blocky feeling as many duel maps are, which is nice. The theme is good though, I like the way it looks, but it lacks that extra kick that makes maps great, something unique to make it unforgettable. Of course, even so, it isn't a bad map.

Sadly, it doesn't have any music to it. That doesn't really effect me, as I almost always have WinAmp running in the background, or the nifty little music changer to play music ingame, but those who don't have those could be disappointed. It is also lacking in bot support, but duel maps aren't really good for bots anyway. XD

So, give it a download and rate it as you see fit!

Thanks Ryojin for the good description, I was afraid youd say it needed more lighting, and yea i didnt feel that i should give it bot or npc support because I wouldnt think you would need that in a duel map.

This isnt actually my first map, just my first map release. The map was quick make just so I could get out there with something, and Im proud of this map I like it and hope to find people who will use it so I can duel them... and loose to them on my map lol. Two Thumbs Up!

Heh, I only forgot to mention the lighting... XD

Agree with Ryojin and ZeroA, DL then rate, it is painful when you get your work for the community and you get "1" votes from someone who might not have even played with your mod or in your map. Anyways it seems cool, for a first great, maybe some textures are too repetitive, but don't mind me, I hope I could map.

Actually, the lighting isn't bad. You captured a good "Dark" theme.
But the skylight at the center of the roof... there has to be "evidence of its existence" on the floor. lol
Try making the very center of the floor brighter, to show that light is coming in from the ceiling... other than that, I dont think anything has to be changed.

I recommend adding a song. Preferably a song that really captures the atmosphere of the setting...
I would try to give you an idea with which song to add to it, but perspective on "quality music" is so relative nowadays. Put what you think is a good song then get some feed back from beta testers.

Im gunna give it a dl, and from the screenies I have a couple of songs in mind, and as well, dont listen to that about the light, just put an alpha decal shader on the floor underneath. Ill tell u how to do that when I see you next. Ones ideas calm song, one idea is an ambient track, and I got a few others I can give u to try.

A calm song in a duel style map will prolly not be the best choice... Since it will most commonly have saber fights in it, something faster paced might be best... Of course, that is just my personal opinion...

well, I guess it would depend on what kind of calm music were talking about. Creepy calm, new age calm, what? I dont know, I just meant he could try some of those out. Trying out interchangable music to see which fits the best never hurt anything.
