Description:

Yay! Here we have the Version two beta of the map Taspir Power Complex. As you might remember, version one had FPS issues, and was pretty cool nonetheless. Now, as is my usual procedure with new versions, I’m just going to tell you about some of the changes.

Firstly, the lighting has been redone, there are a lot areas where FPS was an issue…I can only think of one or two times when I got around 20 FPS, and that was when I was moving really fast. Anyways, secrets have been added, and tweaked. Oh, the outside of the map has also been dramatically expanded, the elevators are now actually elevators instead of teleporters (or am I thinking of the wrong map? I have no clue.) Anyways, the outside mountainous area is much bigger, and as for the secrets, I got a tour.

So anyways, one of the secret areas in this map is an area that basically lets you control the entire map. One of it’s functions is that it can map Taspir ‘erupt’ and flood the entire lower area of the map with lava. Scary, no? There are certainly more secret areas in the map, and I won’t tell you about them. Ooh! I almost forgot! A dueling area next to the power complex has been added!

Basically a lot has been added and fixed, and you should download the map itself and try it out.

There are many extra goodies in here! For instance, you now have access to all floors in all buildings. There is a lava power plant (hence the name, Taspir Power Complex) in the lowest level of the building with the red lights on it. Also, there is another secret that lets you pick out an RGB color for the bottom of the main arena...if you can find it! This map was loaded with little secrets here and there...it's up to you to find them (And I doubt anyone will) ! BUGS: The most annoying bug is in the red-trimmed building, at the flight of stairs going to/from the top floor to the third floor. If you roll off the top of the steps going downwards, you grab onto an invisible wall in the ceiling and hang there...? This has been there since v1, and I don't know how to fix it. I've tried everything I know. But other than that, this map is as bug-free as several months of personal beta testing can get it. If you find something that seems like a bug, it's probably not a bug, but a secret area disguised as a bug... COMMENTS: P, H, T CREDITS: First and foremost, I must give credit to LucasArts and cough Raven Software. Their creation of that abomination called FFA5 (Buah-hahaha!!) gave me a good starting point. Second, I need to credit my music source. I got the map music from "Music For Maps." Their website is at http://www.starwarsdatapad.741.com/musicformaps.htm . Third, I need to thank Metaphysical Anomaly. He did SUCH a good job on the lava processing plant for me!! I also need to thank Partners In Rhyme for the free sound effects I got ( http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/pir/PIRsfx.html ). Finally, I must thank StolenBlade for helping me to create the curving lava slide in one of my secrets (If you can find it) ! I don't need to thank myself.
