Wow, I have to say, that I haven't heard music as soothing or peaceful as the one used in this map for a long time. It's so good, it managed to make what is an average map, seem extraordinary! big grin Of course, there's also all the custom models and players included in the pk3 to spice things up as well.

But the map itself isn't particularly breathtaking. It does have a certain allure however, especially the snowy section. The trees and plants look okay, although the textures on them don't blend to transparency very well, and the terrain has some extremely deep holes which once in, you can't get out of. I can't confess to finding everything in this map because, well, I couldn't! I ended up no-clipping between areas, so my apologies if I missed anything important. For example, there's three custom music tracks included in the pk3, but I have no idea how to listen to 2 of them ingame.

The one thing which really does let this map down though, is the fact that it doesn't seem the author was bothered to do a -light compile, so everything is the same brightness, no shadows, colors e.t.c The general texture useage was also shoddy in a fair few places, such as using a solid red color for the giant square buttons. (Even though pressing them and watching them slide in was very satisfying.)

I think perhaps, the screenshots provide a better view of the map than I can really describe. All I can say is that whilst not the greatest artwork for JK3, this creation does have a certain... something which makes it stand out. I'm sorry, good music goes straight to my head wink I'm nearly tempted to overlook the lack of botroutes...but nah, all maps should have botrouting, I stand by that.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Just unpack the archive and place *.pk3 file in your /Base folder.

DESCRIPTION: Well, first off, you may treat this map/map-attempt as my first map. This map is divided into 3 submaps. First main map is a winter style landscape. Second is a jungle. And the third... third is a secret area. I've tried to make something unexpected :)

HINT: When you find secret area, these 2 blue switches work properly only in SP. In MP they causes only to play sound, but in SP additionally they make spawned NPCs to follow you and help you fight with Great, Invincible Danger ® :)

MAP'S HISTORICAL/GEOGRAPHICAL BACKGROUND: No one really knows from where name 'Sigma' come from. It has been planet's name from a long time. Someone says it was the name of long forgotten empire of cruel and beautiful race apart, which ruled this world but those are only specultaions. Sigma is the unpleasant, cold world far, far away beyond The Outer Rim (let's just say it's in the completly different galaxy). Sigma has two climate cycles: clouded sky and the planet's temperature is very low (this version of the map) and the cloudless sky when temperature seems to be going up, but it may also indicate to terrible times though: the end of the world and the retoration of balance of the Force (v1.1). Only these with really bad luck or sent with a special mission can hit Sigma's ground, because the world is mostly unknown and uninteresting, which doesn't mean safe though... The world itself is a graveyard of many vessels. Sigma has been created by some error manipulations with the Force, because as we now the Force is unbalanced. The world exist only to the moment when The One (Jedi legend) or Sith'ari (Sith legend) want to appear. However, this legend can be misread so no one truly knows when this mysterious person would come and, what more, when the entire world collapse or just dissappear from existence. In the mean time Jedi Council sent a female Jedi called Nedaj R'rok to investigate and find out more about world's history and destiny. She's long overdue and rumours says that the Imperials may had outpost there. But the most important thing is that, somewhere deep under Sigma's surface lies great, invincible danger fueled by manifestation of Dark Side of the Force itself. /* I know, this isn't a piece of art and I made a lot of errors, sorry */

And enjoy.

Map type: ffa
Bot routes: no (but only when u fire up this map u r going to understand me...)

BUGS: NPCs (damn, it was supposed to be unmentioned...) sometimes reacts strangely. Especially when they are on the map and you commit a suicide or go to the spectator, then when you return they won't attack player.
Some 'holes' across map's surface (including jungle terrain) are too deep and what more - impassable for player's bounding box, so you won't be able to get out, why? Hey! It's a cold, dangerous and unfriendly world (complaints to the Force :P). The only way to get out of this mess is to use Grapple (JA+ servers) or join spectator.... so watch your step!
Lift in the jungle part of the map is stupid. When u r at the top of... (u'll see what), it don't want to go down when u enter on it (lift), so u must jump a little to move it and go down (similar bug also appeared in kotor_flight_school map's lifts - they don't want to go down).
When you get at the top of secret area you may notice in the upper parts of skybox unnecesarry snow particles.
That's all. I didn't noticed more/less bugs.

PROGRAMS USED: GTK Radiant 1.4.0, EasyGen 1.42, GIMP 1.2.5 and MS Paint!

COMMENTS: errr, I know, file size is unadequate to it's contest :P

It looks to me like there's a bunch of random walls and statues just standing around. Thats what I see in the screenshots. But I like the look of the snowy area. The trees look really nice.

MasterDragoon if there wouldn't be a credit for u, this map couldn't be posted here. Read ReadMe more carefuly, plz and u'll find your nick there.

Other 2 music files ARE used, areas other than snow area use these music, hadn't u heard? Sizco u couldn't hear these. because as u said, u no-clipped between areaa, and triggers activating music are in teleports between these areas (in their vicinity). Sry, for my ENG. That's all stick out tongue

Ah, and when u teleport between areas, u'll be able to hear 'Conquest of Paradise' Vangelis in jungle area and 'Hollow life' Korn in space area. Notice that, to find teleport to space is not an easy task smile
