Push Power Changer Utillity (1.1) - File Description  


Description:
Here we have a small mod, made by AshuraDX for changing the strength of your force push. I have to admit, I'm not exactly sure whether this affects single player, multiplayer or both, since it isn't specified in the readme. As far as SP goes, a more powerful force push would certainly be fun, especially on a level like Taspir, where you can push some Reborn's and Stormies off the bridges and into the lava. I always have a bit of a chuckle doing that. I know, I am evil. wink

I'm not a fan of anything that changes the gameplay in MP though, simply because this unbalances the game and makes things quite unfair, à la 'long sabers' or sabers with increased damages.

But anyway, Ashura is to be commended on the cool little program and user interface he has created which makes it easy for players to set their own custom power level for force push and bind that to a new key! Good work on that mate!

Description :
I know a lot of people use set g_knockback to increase the power of their force push
but what allways pissed me of at that code was that it effected kicks and weapons too.
Now this has come to an end !
I wrote a small program that allows you to change the power of your force push without effecting other things
but sadly it doesnt overwrite JA's original force push so you have to use a cheatcode or my small program
to bind the "new" force push to a button
How to use :
start the program and click the "how to" Button it'll give you all further information you need

INSTALL : unpack the .zip archive anywhere on your pc and run Push Power Changer.exe
UNINSTAL : remove Push Power changer.exe and settings.ini

looks great, but isn't that some sort of changing the "hard work" on type in the console : g_knockback 9999 ???

I want to report a bug I found :
sometimes it doesnt write a lnie in the cfg file
I'll fix that

@ unleashed darkfroce thgis program changes the knockback ONLY atm when you press push

Ok, I'm getting the exec to work, but It isn't any different from regular push. You said something about a bug in the cfg file? How is the exec supposed to look like?

Right now this is how the file looks like.

set g_knockback 2500
force_throw
wait 1
set g_knockback 1000

And also, are you ever going to finish your beta backhand anims?

Devil! Perhaps you could make one for FORCE LIGHTNING. Yes, then, with this newfound power, I will go to Jedi Academy multiplayer, take my army of SITH LORDS AND STRIKE- wait... Such a creation probably wouldn't work in multiplayer. And even if it would, I highly doubt one person could sway another individual into making such a creation. And furthermore, I play a personally modded version of Forcemod III, which changes the force powers altogether by adding an entirely new set, so such a creation probably wouldn't be compatible with Forcemod III anyway!

Nevermind, found out how to bind something similar without using the utility.

bind <key> "g_knockback <num>; wait 1; +force_throw; wait 2; g_knockback 1000"
