Naboo Town - File Description

We don't get too many Naboo maps, as most people seem to forget the rest of Episode I existed, and seem bent on the Duel of the Fates scenario.

I think the one major word that could describe this map as a whole would be: bare. "Averus you're crazy! There's plenty of detail lying around this map! Go to hell!" Wish granted, but this doesn't change the fact that there's still some key details missing here.

First off, let's figure out what the hell I'm talking about by going over what IS in the map. The main setting of the map is primarily in some quarter of a naboo town of sorts, mimicking the Italian-inspired architecture rather decently, on the outside, with a few buildings here and there, some archways decorating the street, and a nice river flowing through the town with a grate to block off the exit. There are some streetlights along this river, some interior areas around the map, along with a set of huge banners on large structure with "Greedo <3 Mynok" on them. Unfortunately, while the map's current set up is nice, it leaves GREAT BIG EMPTY SPACES, both in interiors and in other regions. Yes, I understand the need for space in an FFA map, but I also understand that said space doesn't need to be enough to land a starship on. Throw some more street lights in there, maybe some benches--anything to cover up that big waste of space. At the BARE minimum, fill in those interiors! There are several accessible interiors that have absolutely nothing in them. It really deters from the atmosphere when it looks like absolutely no one inhabits these places.

So I guess the one thing to take away from this presentation is that more detail is definitely needed. Make it look like someone actually lives or lived in this map a little, and I think we'll be alright =_o. There are a couple secrets here, but even they feel a little bare. Spruce this map up, pronto!

Looks pretty.

I like it. Naboo is a change from the rest of it. Good work. smile

- Texture Issues inside the "marriage" tower, just beneath the lookout post at the top.
- The house on the balcony has a wall brush that was moved to much to the left, which means theres an empty space in the corner.
- If you are standing on the wall to the right of the house that has a secret area door,
you can see the stairset down to the sercret area through the caulked roof.
- Texture issues with leaves on walls, you have to do something about that =)
- The teleporter model in the duel-room-like secret area doesn't have any textures on it (?)

little bare bones but the architecture and general layout is good I think.
