I'm such a creature of habit. I always read the readme AFTER I've tested a file. So I don't find out about secrets until it's too late, damn it! And NPC spawn buttons?? I didn't see any! Oh well. On with the review.

Sure we all love sabers, right? Otherwise we wouldn't be on this site. But sometimes it's nice to just have it out with someone with a big gun. Ask anyone who knows me - I like big guns. This map has plenty of 'em. You'll find 'em in the crashed ships, near rocks, in the base ... they're all over the place. It's a fairly wide open map, but with lots of places to take cover. This is one of those maps that's low on the eye candy meter, but high in the fun factor (or game play, if you'd like).

As much as I think I like this map, I wish there was more to it. Some of the angles are a bit too sharp and um ... geometric or something. You'll know what I mean when you play it. I also was hoping for some new music or new textures. But this'll do. smile

	Readme File: -------------------------------------------------------- JEDI KNIGHT: Jedi Academy Mercenary Battle v1 -------------------------------------------------------- Title: Mercenary Battle Author: Nozyspy E-mail: nozy_007@hotmail.com Date Released: 23/9/04 Game Type: FFA/TFFA Installation: Put the merc_battle.pk3 into your /gamedata/base/ directory. Info: This map is set on a desert world, which has been the scene of countless battles over the centuries. Set in a small canyon, the area has been used many times as a military base, or smugglars outpost, due to the defensiveness of the location, with sheer cliffs rising on all sides the only way in is by air, and in such an enclosed space anti-aircraft weaponry would have a field day. Many mercenary bands have fought over this area, hoping to make it their base of operations. The area is littered with evidence of their battles, the remains of crashed starships and heavy weapons platforms lie all around. Comments: If you find any bugs with this map.....im gonna go insane, lol, caus i spent ages going through this map checking for bugs, its been pretty well playtested though, so you shouldnt find any. I hope....... There is a really cool (and big) secret in this map, leave no stone (or boulder) unturned ;) and u may just find it...... Credits: I must say a big thanks to my good friend and fellow mapper Falgard for letting me adapt his npc spawn buttons. The rest is my own work ^^ Have Fun :D

The npc spawn buttons are just outside the window in the 4th screenshot btw, just incase you were wondering lol.

Lonnnggg time ago this was posted, i wonder if anyone found the swoop track that goes aroung the inside of the cliffs, and the admin bar, the entrance to both is behind one of the boulders near the cliffs, press it to make it sink into the floor wink

Couldnt keep this secret any longer lol (already long enough!) I hope any other people who download this (although there probably wont be many) will have some fun on the race track wink

Also, look out for a v2 of this sometime in the distant (but not VERY distant) future smile

Wow! I'm really sorry I didn't find this map sooner. This is one of the BEST maps I've ever played on! Two Thumbs Up!

Also, the hidden swoop track is soooo cool!
