Marraveur - File Description  


Description:
Well, here we have a new saber model. It looks rather simple, and yet it looks kind of cool.

Okay, the main thing about this saber is the design. Okay, that's the main thing about any saber, but in this case, it's where the most detail is. In this saber, near the blade emitter, is a rather interesting design. Okay, sure, maybe not that interesting, but it's nice to see some detail put into a saber. The other area of this model is the back. It looks something like a ravens head, or some kind of ominous animal.

While the model on this wasn't that bad, the skinning wasn't that great. It consists of mainly solid colors, which never look good on a skin. Just try to move away from solid colors. Especially solid black. Try to give it a dark metallic look using a shader, but don't use solid black.

But one thing that I really like about this was that it gave you the option to overwrite one of the default sabers. Why is this such a great thing? You can use it on any server. smile So, not a bad saber model.

Description : I included two versions, one that is the standard version that you can use in Solo Player Mode (Type saber saber_earthdigger in the console.) and on the >F.D.J.U.<Servers ; one that overwrites the single_4 saber for use on any server.

Comments : I have thought about this saber for a very long time, but I didn't know how to make it... Thanks to the jk3files community, I have heard about GMax. You can see that the design of this saber is particularly complex : the first time I tryed to test it ingame... **Error : The number of vertices exceeds 1024**. Hum hum... So I had to change lot of things, and it's nomore the saber of my dreams. Well... I will do another one when the next "Jedi Knight" comes !

yep, texture could be improved a bit, and a shader would be nice too.

anyway the design is pretty unique, et le nom déchire !! GJ mec.

ok with a metallic shader, this would be my favourite ever saber model. No joke, the design and the raven's head thing is wicked sick. RELEASE A V2 WITH A METALLIC SHADER!
