I'm sure there is a fair chunk of you out there who have been wanting this model for a long time... well here it is!

Jason is definetly one of the most recognized slasher villans of all time. I have to admit, I have not seen Friday the 13th, but I have heard all about Jason. This model is very accurate, right down to Jason's Machette. The texturing job is really good, nice and detailed. Using the legs from the Indiana Jones model was definetly a good choice too. The model comes with Bot and NPC support, but no team colors unfortunatly.

I like this model, but there are some things that still need improvement. The new sounds taken from the movie are really repetitive, and the sounds on the Machette are not complete. It makes a "whoosh" sound when you swing, but other than that is sounds like a lightsaber frown. Also, the head/mask seems a little too big... it might just be my imagination though.

Well things certainly have improved! The mask is not as big, so it looks better and a little more accurate. The machette sounds have been fixed, so the machette is now perfect in my opinion wink. Last, but not least, the team colors are there, but in a way I did not quite think the author would have done. Basically, the clothes are your average red/blue tint, but the mask changes: On default, he has one red marking above his nose, and a bloody gash in his mask (his clothes and hands are also bloody). On red, he has 3 red markings on the mask. On blue, he has two blue markings on the mask. Now, at first thought this does not seem too creative, but they are actually there to imitate Jason seen in various Friday the 13th "parts", like part five and so on... ah, just go look at the comparison picture lol wink.

The only thing I think there is left to improve upon is the sounds. I think they are just too similar/repetitive. Hearing that odd noise (*CHOO choo choo, HAH hah hah, CHOO choo choo* err however it goes) over and over and over again gets annoying. I'd kinda rather hear some generic scary sounding guy sounds, but that is just me.

A must for the fans of Jason. Some nice improvements over the previous version.

Additional Credits to : Major Clod for the indiana jones model I used the legs hips and feet from his model for mine.

Special thanks to Psyko! who helped me with his great site and tutorials. He even responed to my e-mails so I could figure out how to compile glm files. This model was also inspired by one of Psykos unfinished meshes.

In this new version i have fixed the Machete so it sounds right. I have added team skins i have sized the mask so that it is no so big. I have added different movie skins to the model and i have make the sound effects not so anoying.
