Description:
I always wonder why whenever people call their map 'temple' it always seems to be using the 'Korriban-esque' texture set, with the only odd exception being yavin, and usually those maps also include 'Jedi' in the name. My point is that you get tired of those themes very easily, and this theme is one that has been done to death. I'll let the author off though, as it seemed even Raven jumped on the bandwagon for that with their final mission in JK3 SP mode, and for that, they need a good slap. wink

You'll find everything you come to expect from temple maps here - glowing torches with fire, yellowy brick walls, statues. It's all a bit old, but it's not done too badly. The lighting is average, for want of a better word, albeit a little too orangey. There are some lights without sourcing, and some sourcing without lights. The architecture is also fairly average, although the attempt at making the flaming fists above the podium with the cross on it was a good bit of creativity. The texturing in some areas does leave a lot to be desired though. Mostly, the textures are adequate, but on some sections of the wall and the cross podium, the images used just look weird. frown

There's no music either, nor ambient sounds from the torches. Oh, and they don't burn you if you stand in them. A lack of botroutes is enough to pull down the overall score, and there was something else I found odd too. The music file included doesn't work. Well, it didn't seem like it was at first anyway, so I opened the file in winamp and discovered it's just a blank track. This was a little odd.

Believe it or not, there are still people out there who have not the slightest clue how to install PK3s. How to install the map: Open Winzip/winrar/easyzip and open de file: DUeloffaith.zip Then you see these files: Readme and Duel_temple2.pk3 Sellect duel_temple2.pk3 and extract that at your base folder (directory). example: c:\<where game is located>\gamedata\base Launch game and have fun!!!! DESCRIPTION: This is a part from a big map what i making now at the moment. When i was mapping i saw that this part would be a great duel area. So i fixed some things to bring it only at dueling. It is a big room with pillars and some torches (only at the pillars). The light is orange but i think this is a great lightcolor into a temple. There are some normal statue's and there is a special statue with a holy cross at the top. Called: The Holy Stone and thats why i did the map name: Duel Of Faith. Maybe said news for musiclovers at a map.........There is no music. A temple is quiet so i made it quiet......(then ya can focus more at dueling) COMMENTS: Its just a great map to dueling at. Korriban temples? In JKII?

Looks good all in all, though. Simple, but complete at least.

in my opinion, simple maps can be good maps. 8/10(id give 9 but no bot support) smile

Uhm well i noticed that the reviewer didnt read the readme.
I explained there (with not well english talking) that i dont ad music
in the map. So next time plz (for reviewers) .... read readme better folks.
