I know there are still some die-hard Jedi Outcast fans out there that would appreciate a good serverside mod. Come on, raise your hands. I said "good" serverside mod, but I'm really not an expert in the field so I can't tell you whether it's good or not. It has many features that should sound familiar: emotes like amsit, amsleep, amsurrender. It has admin commands, such as amkick, amslap, and ampunish. It also has additional rcon support.

In addition to these emotes and commands, the mod contains two types of "lame protection": a timer, which begins upon holstering your saber, and a system based on attacking vs. not attacking. The second system also puts restrictions on the "protected" character - they can not
obtain pickups or harm others with kicks. In the first system they can harm with kicks, however this will cause the protected player to once again become vulnerable to others.

Also included, which I think is a nifty tool, is a word filter. Tired of being called a n00b? Filter it out and never see it again! Of course this can also be used if you're tired of seeing little kids practicing every swear word they're not allowed to speak at home.

	Readme File: ************************* DS-Online - Folder's and PK3's ************************* In the main folder, in GameData/DS-Online their are a number of files, and here is just the explenation of what they do. FILES BanIP.dat This file is your new banlist, instead of using the cvar called g_banIP you store your bans in a file. wordFilter.dat The file that is read on which words you'd like to have filtered from your chat. server.cfg This is the file which basicly starts your server, it executes the file in the folder Config too. DS-Online.cfg All the mod configuration options are in here, such as admin passes, general settings and all the cvar's i added. Dummy.pk3 To make the mod appear in the mod selecting list. Description.txt Makes the MOD appear in the list in the options menu, the Load Menu section of it ;). Readme-WordFilter.txt An explaining on the wordFilter feature, mostly focused on the working of it and how to create a file for it. Readme-Forcing.txt Explaining the plugin forcing. FOLDERS Config A must to explore! Here are some more configuration files for the server! Full-Readme A clear and hopefully understandable explanation on features. Begin with index.html ^_- vm The heart of the MOD, this IS the mod actually, it contains all my programming to make things work :P Change: A change from previous versions is the seperate map called vm now, in other versions i've always used a pk3 file with in their the modfiles, thus the vm folder and jk2mpgame.qvm, however if somebody tries to connect to a with this pk3 and has autodownload on, the client will try to download that pk3 and gets probably kicked because this is not allowed. With the dummy.pk3 and the seperate vm folder this issue is totally solved.

this sounds cool. amsleep? amsit? thought those were for jk3. so like does this mod let u use em in jk2 now? if so then i'll probly get this if it's not too hard or confusing to use.

Amsit etc was already in jk2, they were first with this smile

I still play jk2 sometimes and like it... although I dislike the stupid doubleclick jump kick -> that is so noobish to do smile

In JA+ that is optional, so my server doesnt have that

For the rest I am pleased ppl still play jko, in some time, if jk4 wont come... we will have a die hard gang of ppl like me that keeps playing jka Rock
