Beserk Sabers - File Description  

This mod seemed pretty straightforward to me at first, until I tested it. Seems it only works with single-player, unless there's some trick to having it work in MP that the author didn't clue me in on. Basically it's a group of config files that you execute through the in-game menu that changes the speed of your saber animations. Be warned, it also changes the speed of the enemies' saber animations, so if you can't handle dueling someone in fast forward be careful how you use these. It it moderately amusing to see a stormtrooper hashing at a reborn at 300 miles per hour, though wink

There are five CFGs that will increase the saber speed - each calling for a different speed - one CFG that will put the saber animations in "slomo", and one that will return them to normal. This ought to be fun to play around with, if not good for any practical purpose that I can think of.

Beserk Sabers

Description: This mod has 7 CFG files that will increase how fast your sabers move and one that will slow it down.
There is also one to restore it to normal.

Installation Instructions: Put all the CFG files in your base folder (the same place as PK3 files).
Then begin a game and type in "exec saberbeserkmode1" to "exec saberbeserkmode5" to use it. You can also type in
"exec saberslomo" to get the slow sabers. If you want to return things to normal, type "exec sabernormal".
Don't type in the quotes.

Credits: I would like to thank Lucasarts and Raven software for letting me experiment with mods and stuff with JKA
and their modding tools.

Comments: Your staff kata won't make you move forward and instead you spin rapidly in the spot you're standing
on. This mod will also affect enemies and the game might slow down if it gets to chaotic.

Most mods don't have a practical purpose. How is it practical to haev snowball TD's or cheese tripmines? I would be far more inpressde if he had the whole thing in a button cycler, as I don't like doing stuff by hand. It's origonal, adn mildly useful, but add a cycler adn I'll download for sure. There aren't enough scripters out there, so keep up the work, and bring out some more scripts soon.

just couse the whole majority of mods aren't pratical that doesn't mean it's an excuse to keep doing unpractical stuff. That only means it's easy to mod JKA.
ok so it's not been done before, changing speed of attacks. But isn't JKA configuration of attack speeds good enough? that's one of the points that this game owns, the battle. The longer a saber stays inside the limits of the body of u'r enemy, more dmg he will receive (other than the attacks own dmg). I beleave Raven's developers did this very well.

yeah, but rapid fire lunges must do huge damage. Smae with katas, if you add inf force... stick out tongue

Aye it is Berserk if that's what he was going for. Interesting that in the read-me it says seven CFG files. When I'm bored I'll use this but I like the standard speeds more. But that's my opinion. Either case, 7/10. cool

awesome mod! 10/10 i lined up 50 stormtrooper and 1/2 sec l8r thers parts everywhere lolRockcoolResistance is Futile!
