Description:
Today we celebrate the old-birth of a fiend known to most Futurama enthusiasts as Bender Bending Rodriguez =_,=.
Right off the bat, I noticed something was wrong with the skin. The audio output apparatus, whatever they may call it, is madly inaccurate. I noticed it immediately, because Bender has two horizontal lines (at least) in the show that function as lips. This one in particular, however, only has one, so it looks like he has teeth, not a grid.
The model also has a slight lopside to it, especially when you duck. The saber also holds strange in the right hand. O_o However, minus all that, it's still an amusing model XD. There are a few variants:
- Normal
- Flexo(the Bender look alike with the goatee)
- Gold Bender
- Dirty Bender with Burgle hat =_=
All of which, while perhaps not totally accurate, is still an amusing package. I could see this being an amusing addition to the community.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Put the pk3 file in you gamedata\base folder.
DESCRIPTION: It's a Bender (from Futurama) model, the model has four variants, the normal Bender, Flexo ( he has different taunts), a dirty Bender and the gold Bender :).
He has plenty of funny sounds from the series.
BUGS: There's some clipping in the arms because of the non/human form of the model.
COMMENTS: This is my first player model ever, so if you find some mistakes know that I have tried my best. The next one will be better.
If you want to spawn the Npc Benders:
-npc spawn bender ( normal bender )
-npc spawn flexo ( bender variant )
-npc spawn bender_dirty
-npc spawn bender_gold

Although I don't like how his body bends... but that is just how JA physics work.

This model is awesome, Nad I must say good job with the sounds. Nice picks. I would find a better "Bite my Shiney Metal ***" quote though, the one you have in there is a bit low quality. Also, the gold bender seems a bit.... copper. Other than that good job!

I wish this was for JK2, then this would be the greatest thing ever. Futurama is my favorite show, I have every episode, I'm actually listening to Futurama music right now.

While not the greatest mod I've ever seen, it's nice to have a new MODEL for a change... Hell I was expecting a C-3PO reskin or something. 8/10

it's not perfect, as stated, the vocabulator thingy is all wrong and his legs are placed badly on his "shiny metal @$$" lol they should be further in, plus the main torso isnt "canny" enough, partly cos of contortion, but the lower half could be better, other than that, this is cool, but a v2 with these things fixed would be good

Don't know what the desc means by not accurate. Looks pretty damn accurate t'me.
it may not be best yet but hopefully like LOEB (which is great btw) there will be other versions, i will download all!

Well being a huge Futurama fan, I found out where some of the taunts came from.
Bender
Death 1 - Season 1, Episode 9, "Hell is other robots"
Taunt - Season 1, Episode 1, "The Space Pilot 3000"
Anger 2 - Season 1, Episode 7, "My 3 suns"
Victory 2 - Season 2, Episode 6, "Brannigan, Begin Again"
Victory 3 - Season 2, Episode 7, "A head in the polls"
Flexo (only in 2 episodes, I will just name the 2 episodes)
Season 2, Episode 11, "Lesser of Two Evils"
Season 3, Episode 6, "Bendless Love"
I couldn't really place a lot of the death and pain sounds because he gets hurt a lot.
some pain sounds are from "godfellas" and "Obsoletely Fabulous" -- If I release a second version he will have more...
I was hoping for the golden Bender it would have the "Bite my glorious golden @$$" from....well I forgot the name of the episode, but it's when the professor creates a parallel universe.
I've got that sound, it's going to be in the second version along with some others, the episode is "The Farnsworth Parabox"
Are you planning on making this for JK2/ making anymore characters from Futurama? The ones I think would be cool is Fry, The Robot Devil or Kiff. I say Kiff because it would be funny to see him holding a lightsaber and beating people up.
not for JK2, I need to make an entirely new model for that, I prefer to continue with JK3 for now...
 Oh well, but hey if you need any help getting sounds (don't see why you would) if your making other Futurama models, I can help you record some. (I have all the Futurama season on dvd's )

Ok, cool, my email is Email Me!.
I have some ideas (i Had some ideas for LOEB too)
1.Try to edit the _humanoid files so his arms and legs look more like in the show
2.The Golden one needs to be more golden and less red
3.His body needs to be more can shaped (i.e. flatter around the bottom)
4.He needs the second line on his mouth
5.Put a visible handle on the door (i.e. it sticks out)
6.Make a model of the Bender with the robot religion thingy on his chest
7.ummm I think thats all my ideas
After you get done with Bender you should make the robot devil(Hell is other Robots), Santa(Xmas Story), or a better Homer than the old JK2 one seen at this site (http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Homer_Simpson;37279)

nice work for being a futurma fan ive seen alot bender paint stuff and they stink but when i see this its like saying OMG i finally found a futurma skin so nice work

@27: It doesn't need an entirely new model for Bender to work in Jedi Outcast! You just need to re-weigh it for Jedi Outcast with the JO_skeleton.
Personally I think Bender would've turned out better cell shaded, but that's just me. This is good 9/10.

Everytime i start the map,my game crashed with this file in it.I can take it out,and it loads fine.Any advice?Thanks
it worked fine for me... anyway you can download the other file "futurama robots" and delete this in your base folder. The bender model in the other pack it's an updated version of this.
