AnakinVM - File Description  


Description:
I've seen so many Anakin models lately that it's a wonder my head hasn't exploded. Of course we can count on Mars to give us a good one. I must admit, though. I was a little disappointed with this model as compared to Mars' usual work. The skin was only so-so, and parts of the model deformed horribly. I know from experience that those particular sections are some of the hardest to weight (the shoulders, especially), but I would've expected something cleaner from an experienced modeller like Mars.

As for the skin, the hair looks very unrealistic, the hands are a completely different skintone from the face, and the face is blurry. The model is quite good, but it's screaming "rushed!" at me. That said, it's still one of the best Anakin model's I've seen. And trust me, with all the reskins lately I've seen a lot of them.

Because we are the lucky group we are, Mars has given us bot support, npc support, and movie sounds. There's team support, but the team skins are the same as the default skin. He also gave us Vader, to go with Anakin, so you can enjoy that model again! This isn't the best work I've seen from Mars, but it should certainly tide many of you over who have been waiting for a good Anakin model.

Installation:

Place M_Anakinvm.pk3 into the "StarWars JediKnight Jedi Academy/GameData/basefolder".

***How to use:***

Multiplayer- To activate cheats, you do thing a little different. activate the console by hitting shift+tild(~). Next type /devmapall "mapname". Example: /devmapall mp/duel1. The map will load with cheats activated. Open the console again and type /npc spawn "npc's name". Example: /npc spawn anavm.. Notice that single player you have to put the "/" slash before the command.

For Darth Vader: anavadert

Note: you must enter one of the above names when spawning your npc.

cont... close the console by hitting the tild (~) again.




***Trouble shoot***

Usually there are only a few errors make that cause problems. Here are the most common...
1) Not using the proper console commands for "Single Player" or "Multiplayer"... cheats are acivated differently for each. Read "Instructions" up above.
2) Having the pk3 placed in the wrong folder.
3) Make sure you have the latest Jedi Knight Academy update, this is very important!
4) Make sure you have removed any older versions of this model.
5) If cape texture is missing, or player Icon is missing you need to remove some models (you may have too many)... Another method is to rename the .pk3 file to Z_AnakinVM.
