KotOR Map Objects - File Description

embarrasment Sunday mornings are such a drag. *yawn*

Oh, we're on air already. Heh, sorry folks.

Next up on the JKFiles Home Shopping channel, we have these lovely replica Knights of the Old Republic map objects for utilisation in your own home-made creations.

Included we have the following five articles:
- Workbench
- Console
- Storage containers
- Kolto Tank
- Flourescent light post from Davik's estate

The models are all fairly well created, designed to give high accuracy with as little polygon wastage as humanly possible. They look very much like their original counterparts, and the texturing is almost a clear match albeit with enough significant differences to be able to clearly tell that they're reproductions. Each item is also fully equipped with relevant shaders, and in some cases multiple shaders have been utilised for those objetcs with several different elements.

Since I'm working entirely from memory, I can't really vouch for *perfect* accuracy, but all it took was one look at these things and as soon as I saw each one I did immediately recognise it, so that's a very good sign.

Anyone interested in making any KotOR maps, or indeed any other map where these can be utilised, these may interest you. Just remember that proper crediting needs to be given, and with the niceness of these, Inyri deserves it - these map objects could easily enhance any sci-fi themed map, whether Star Wars themed or not.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
--------------------------
These map objects will need to be extracted and placed in your map_objects folder within your base directory for easiest use while mapping. Remember that these should be included with your PK3 when you release your map, or you may alternatively simply include the original PK3 with your map files.

This package is a mapping utility only! Do not expect it to do anything if you are not a mapper.

DESCRIPTION

I love Knights of the Old Republic. It's a great game, and I think it needs some JA lovin'. However I'm very much anti-ports, so I'm hoping these original models, made from scratch over several weeks, will prompt mappers to take the ball into their own court and produce some excellent replicas using their own work.

There should not be any bugs with these. If you find some, however, please report them so I can fix them. :)

I hope that any mappers making KotOR-themed maps will consider using these map objects in their map. I'm also willing to make others, as well as texture replicas.

Also ignore the lighting in the screenshots. I'm not a mapper. ;)
