Roxas - File Description  


Description:
RAAGH! Lady Forge, first you challenge me with two doorless keys, NOW you give me a kid to wield them?? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?! >_<

Alright, so here we have a model of some mere child named Roxas. I shall simply leave the strange likeness of the name Roxanne to the ages. Overall, the modelling was done sufficiently. However, flaws can be spotted if you look carefully. Namely two:

- There is clipping of the shoes through the pants when you crouch.
- There is a hole in the back of the right sleeve when you stand still.
- slight seam visible when running in the back of the shirt.

Slight nitpicks, but those don't compare to the work done on the head. Comparing the icon she provided and the model itself, the face looks a little weird on the model. First off, his mouth looks like a frog's from the front. I don't know how to put it any other way. O_o; Second off, although this may be a nitpick, the the face looks a little "war-battered," or rather that the face looks a little too hardened. No youth can match up to the battles I have gone in =_,=.

The skinning job is notoriously two-sided. The Lady Forge was good on the clothes, but not on the skin of this outrageously monotoned lad. However, it's not that terribly bad that you will double over and hurl your pesticides. The eyes look a little too dark as well.

However, the saddest thing about the model is that he's a mere child. A shame. I could not help but feel pity on him because of the blades he wielded. Apparantly the Lady Forge cursed him with not one, but TWO keyblades. The kid called them Oathkeeper and Oblivion. I snarled at the oblivion but I took pity on the child...

In English, that means there's two keyblade weapons in this pack too...

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Put roxas_if in your gamedata/base directory within your Jedi Academy directory. If you would like bot and NPC support put roxas_if_bot_npc in your base folder as well.

DESCRIPTION
------------
Those familiar with the games of the Kingdom Hearts series should recognize this as Roxas from Kingdom Hearts 2. Roxas is --------------------------------------------- and there's the entire story! Oops, seems I left something out... Well, I wouldn't want to spoil anything for anybody, so you'll have to find out yourselves who his is and what his role is ;).

In addition to the Roxas player model, both of the required keyblades are included (Oathkeeper, new and hopefully improved, and Oblivion -- both contain updated soundsets which, I believe, sound awesome). Both keyblades have backhanded versions, which I'm sure some of you will enjoy. Keep in mind, though, that the blades are also backwards, so whilst they will look cool, they aren't quite as practical. If you have previous versions of either of these two keyblades, you can delete them, burn them in a fire, serve them for dinner, etc.

The command to spawn the Roxas allied NPC is as follows:

npc spawn roxas_ally

The command to spawn the Roxas enemy NPC is as follows:

npc spawn roxas

For quick single-player model access:

playermodel roxas_if

No real bugs, except a bit of clipping in certain areas which is mostly unnoticible, and no extremity caps.

This model was a lot of fun to make. Serious fun, I mean. I usually do not like player models, but this one turned out really well and I got a lot of good support for it, so thanks to everyone who helped out. I probably won't be posting many more WIPs on the forums here, but you can always find me on my own forums at FileFreak.net if you're still interested in following my work or making any kinds of suggestions.
